Practice Weld Plate Coupons 1" Thick (3X The Practice)

Each kit includes two complete sets of practice coupons for the AWS D1.1 Unlimited Thickness weld test. Every plate is precision-beveled to 22.5°, creating the correct 45° groove when assembled. A 1/4" thick by 2" wide backing strip is included with each set to match code requirements.

We also include a third backing strip at no additional cost to maximize your practice time and value.

Because the plates are beveled on both sides, you gain even more flexibility:

• Combine them for additional test practice

• Or cut them apart with a grinder or bandsaw to create even more practice coupons

That complimentary backing strip means more welds, more repetition, and more confidence before your actual qualification test—giving you the most training value for your hard-earned dollar.

While the groove geometry and backing strip meets code requirements, these plates are only 2" wide to save you money and shipping costs.  They are therefor not eligible for use in actual weld testing scenarios.
